We do not display advertising on O Nepali. Our focus is on providing a superior learning experience.

1. What information do we collect?
We collect personal information and usage information when a parent or guardian downloads and uses the App:
Information you provide to us. When you create an account on the O Nepali App, we collect your email address. If you choose to set up an account to access the App across various devices, we will also collect your password. Similarly, we use your year of birth as the password to enter the parent zone. We may collect additional information if you contact our support team, send us an email, or communicate with us.
Information you provide about your child. During account registration, we ask you to provide your child's name (which can be a nickname for privacy) and month and year of birth. We do not ask for or collect any additional personal information from your child directly.
App usage information we collect when you use the App. We collect information about how the App is used, such as the features accessed, the lessons completed, games played, and time spent on the App. We associate this information with an internal account ID for our internal purposes, such as recognizing you across devices and personalizing your experience. We may also collect device-specific information (e.g., device type, operating system, preferred language) to optimize the App's performance and appearance. We collect analytics data to understand usage trends and improve the App.
No third-party SDKs and analytics. O Nepali does not use third-party advertising SDKs, and we do not allow any third parties to collect personal data from users within the App. We use only internal tools to collect anonymous, aggregated data solely for the purpose of improving the App’s educational features. This ensures a safe environment in line with child data protection regulations.
2. How we use the information we collect
We use the information we collect to:
Operate, maintain, enhance, and provide all the features of our App.
Personalize your and your child's experience within the App, including across different devices. For example, we may remember your child's progress to recommend appropriate lessons and content.
Communicate with you about your account and your child's progress (e.g., milestones achieved). From time to time, we may also send you emails about O Nepali updates or features that may be of interest to you.
Understand and analyze usage trends and user preferences to improve the App's functionality, design, and to develop new features.
Maintain, develop, support, and improve our App and other educational content.
3. How we share or transfer data to others
We deeply value the privacy of our users. We do not sell your personal information to third parties for their own purposes without your consent. We share or disclose your personal information only as necessary to provide our service and in the following limited circumstances:
Vendors and Service Providers. We may share information with trusted vendors and third-party service providers who perform services for us or on our behalf, such as hosting, email delivery, or technical support. These third parties are contractually obligated to maintain the security and confidentiality of your personal information.
Aggregate or de-identified information. We may share information in an aggregated and/or anonymous form that cannot reasonably be used to identify any individual.
Merger or Sale. If O Nepali becomes involved in a merger, acquisition, or any form of sale of some or all of our assets, your personal information may be transferred or disclosed in connection with the business transaction. In such an event, we will make efforts to require the new owner to adhere to the terms of this Privacy Policy or to provide notice before your personal information is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
Other. We may disclose personal information if we have a good faith belief that such disclosure is reasonably necessary to (a) satisfy any applicable law, regulation, legal process, or enforceable governmental request; (b) enforce our Terms of Service; (c) detect, prevent, or otherwise address fraud, security, or technical issues; or (d) protect the rights, property, or personal safety of O Nepali, our users, or the public.
4. Marketing and email communications
Email communications. From time to time, O Nepali may send you emails regarding our App updates or new content we believe may be of interest. You can choose not to receive these promotional emails by clicking the unsubscribe link in any email. Please note that you cannot opt-out of non-promotional messages regarding your account, such as account verification or technical notices.
Advertising. We do not display any targeted advertising within the O Nepali App. We do not permit third parties to collect information about your use of the O Nepali App for the purpose of sending you targeted advertisements on other websites or applications.
5. How to access, update, or delete your personal information and account
You have the right to access, update, or delete your personal information and your O Nepali account.
Account Deletion. You can initiate account deletion through the app settings or by contacting our support team at hello@onepali.fun.
Deletion Process. Upon receiving a deletion request, we will take reasonable steps to verify your identity and process the request within a reasonable timeframe. Once your account is deleted, all personal information associated with your account will be permanently removed from our active databases. Any stored documents, preferences, or activity history will no longer be accessible. Certain data may be retained in backups or archives for a limited period as required by law or for legitimate business purposes (e.g., to comply with legal obligations or resolve disputes), after which it will be securely deleted.
Impact of Deletion. Please note that deleting your account will revoke access to all features and services provided through the O Nepali app. If you wish to use the app again, you will need to create a new account.
Acknowledgement. By using O Nepali, you acknowledge and agree to the terms outlined in this Account Deletion policy.
Data retention for children’s information. We retain a child's personal data (name, birth month/year, usage) only for as long as the associated parent account remains active. Upon deletion of a parent account or a verified request for child data deletion, we promptly and permanently erase the child’s personal information from active systems and backups, unless legally required to retain it for compliance or dispute resolution purposes.
Unless we receive a deletion request, we will retain your information for as long as your account is active or as is reasonably useful for operational purposes. For example, we may retain certain data to prevent fraud, for recordkeeping, or if required by law. All retained personal information will remain subject to the terms of this Privacy Policy.
6. Our approach to data security
Data security is important to you, and to us. We employ certain physical, managerial, and technical safeguards designed to protect the integrity and security of your personal information and other data we maintain in connection with our App. However, no security system is completely impenetrable, and we cannot guarantee the absolute security of your personal information. In the unlikely event of a security breach, we will take reasonable steps to investigate and will notify you of the incident in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
7. How do we protect Children's Privacy?
Our App is intended for use by children primarily with the consent and oversight of a parent or guardian. An adult with a verified email address must download the App and create an account before permitting a child to use the App. Please contact us at hello@onepali.fun if you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a child without parental consent so that we can delete the information as soon as possible.
The following applies when a child uses the App with a parent’s consent and oversight:
What information do we collect? We collect the child's name (as provided by the parent, which can be a nickname) and the month and year of birth. We collect usage information when a child uses the App, which we associate with the parent’s account. We do not collect other personal information directly from the child.
How do we use this information? We use this information solely to operate, personalize, maintain, enhance, and provide all the features of our App. We do not use this information for marketing or advertising purposes.
How do we share the child’s information? We do not share your children’s information with third parties.
Parental consent & App oversight. O Nepali is directed toward children under the age of 13 and requires verifiable parental consent prior to account setup and access to content. All features of the App are designed to operate under the supervision of a parent or guardian. Children are not asked to enter personal information directly, and the App does not allow open communication features or social sharing.
How can a parent control the child’s information? The parent can typically update their child's name within the App settings. A parent should contact us at hello@onepali.fun to request permanent deletion of their child’s information from our systems.
8. International Visitors
Our App is operated and managed on servers located within the United States. If you choose to use our App from other regions of the world with laws governing data collection and use that differ from the United States law, then you acknowledge that we will transfer your personal information to the United States for the purpose of performing the App according to our agreement (our Terms of Service) and for any other purpose for which you provide explicit, informed consent.
9. Changes and updates to this Privacy Policy
We may modify or revise this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any significant changes by posting the revised Privacy Policy with an updated date of revision within the App or on our website. Your continued use of the App following the effective date of such update constitutes your acceptance of the revised Policy.

Depending on your location, you may have rights under privacy regulations such as the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) or other local data protection laws. These may include the right to access or delete your personal information.
